On June 6, 2024, the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending announced (click here) that they are considering changes to their rules governing mortgage loan originators, mortgage companies, mortgage bankers, mortgage servicers, and wrap mortgage loans. They have published a pre-comment draft of the proposed changes to the rules on their website. They will host a stakeholder meeting today at 1 PM Central via a webinar to discuss the pre-comment draft of the rule changes. The webinar will be recorded for those who are unable to attached.
