Subject:         Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association Issues Notice to Claimants of Houston National Title, LLC

The Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association (“TTIGA”) recently issued a Notice to Claimants of Houston National Title, LLC concerning claims for escrow funds. A copy of this notice is attached to this memo. On July 4, 2024, the Texas Commissioner of Insurance entered an Impairment Order declaring Houston National Title, LLC to be “impaired”. Due to this order, TTIGA will cover losses resulting from shortages of escrow that qualify as covered claims under Texas Insurance Code Chapter 2602.

Persons who have a claim for escrow funds held by Houston National Title, LLC must file a claim with TTIGA if they wish to pursue their claim. The deadline for claims is September 30, 2025. The proof of claim form may be obtained by requesting the form in writing or via TTIGA’s website at https://ttiga.org. TTIGA’s mailing address is: Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association, 500 W. 5th, Suite 1150, Austin, Texas 78701- 3835.
