In the July 11, 2014 Texas Register (Volume 39, Number 28) the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs posted the following notice informing the public and all interested mortgage lenders about a new Mortgage Credit Certificate Program. The full text of the notice is reprinted below: “The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (the “Department”) intends to implement a Mortgage Credit Certificate Program (the “Program”) to assist eligible very low, low, and moderate income first-time homebuyers with the purchase of a residence located within the State of Texas.
