Based in Flower Mound, Wendy Smith will hit her 2-year mark with the firm this August. With 19 years of industry experience under her belt, she’s become a natural leader at BM&G, often assisting in training her colleagues for a client she and her team support. From reviewing files to resolving client issues, Wendy enjoys staying busy and assisting her team. Being able to apply her training background to her current work at the firm and getting to multitask every day are what she enjoys most about working for the firm.
She loves that management is truly good to their employees, and they take time to cultivate their employees’ growth. Wendy says that if an employee puts in the work and wants to advance within the firm, the partners will do what they can to facilitate their growth. Offering opportunities for growth is something that really sets BM&G apart for Wendy, as she considers the firm a second long-term career that is not just a job, but somewhere she can grow.
Outside of work, Wendy enjoys spending free time with her family – her husband, their 8-year-old son, and two dogs. Currently, the family is nurturing their son’s budding career as a professional baseball player. Wendy is also very active in her local church, where she helps with sound and streaming. She says that streaming has stayed popular post-COVID, as it gives people who can’t physically attend the service the opportunity to still be included.
Thank you, Wendy, for being part of our team and always going the extra mile to support your colleagues and our clients!
