In December 2020, we announced the launch of our firm’s new Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiative prioritizing D&I in recruitment and hiring, promotion and career advancement for team members, and in the selection of business partners. To reflect its commitment to D&I, the firm also added a new core value that reads:

“We cultivate and preserve a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

“Treating one another equally and respectfully has been a guiding principle in how our firm has operated since our founding two decades ago,” Co-Managing Partner Greg Graham explains. “But until now, that tenet of our culture was implied rather than stated explicitly.”

In addition to promoting and ensuring fairness and equality in how we treat each other, our clients and our business partners, we will prioritize recruiting and hiring to create a more diverse workplace. Similarly, we will institute a training and mentoring program to advance our team members’ career opportunities, helping each achieve their highest potential.

“We believe that our diversity makes us stronger, as we reflect the world we live in and the clients we serve,” adds Co-Managing Partner Shawn Black. “With the new initiative in place, we’ll apply a new D&I lens to all aspects of our business. That holistic approach will give us an opportunity to re-evaluate all of our relationships, ensuring fairness and equity in how we operate as a firm.”
