Damon and Dana flank their daughter, Kyah, at her graduation from Guyer High School. Below are twins Layla and Marley.

Twelve-year BMG veteran Damon Bowens credits the firm’s family culture and approachable leadership for his success as a Dallas-based legal assistant. He also appreciates that Greg Graham and Lisa Costilla have given him the tools he needs to grow and succeed — in addition to regular encouragement to do his job well.

“I started working for Black, Mann & Graham in 2009. I was working for a competitor at the time when a mutual friend of mine and Greg’s introduced us. That friend thought highly of BMG and thought it would be a great place for me to work. After a little encouragement, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. One of the best decisions I ever made.”

Damon and his wife Dana, a registered nurse, are proud parents of three daughters, the oldest of whom is studying pre-pharmacy at Texas Tech University before she transfers back to North Texas to complete her degree. Their youngest daughters are twins — with one aspiring to be a competitive cheerleader and the other, a golfer. Damon says they enjoy following the girls’ sports, often taking a divide-and-conquer approach to cheering on their daughters.

Originally from New Orleans, Damon is a big Saints fan, and loves the food from his original hometown — although as the primary cook in the family, he works to put healthy meals on the table. The Bowens family enjoys trips to their top destination Disney World, as well as San Antonio and the Texas Gulf Coast.

Thanks for going the extra mile for our team and our clients, Damon!
