Houston Attorney Ambria Wilmore believes strongly in the importance of family – and that helps explain why she knows BMG is a good fit for her. Starting with us last November, Ambria says the firm’s tight-knit family culture of caring about each other made her feel safe and comfortable from her first day.
“When I come to work, I feel like I’m coming to my second home,” Ambria explains. “I can be myself, and I was so happy when I was offered a job here after graduating from law school and passing the bar exam. When I was interviewing, I was really hoping I would get a job offer with Black, Mann & Graham, and when I received the offer, I wanted to hit the ground running.”
As part of the legal team reporting to Diane Gleason, Ambria responds to compliance-related, legal and property issues. She also supports the operations team on loan closings, ensuring compliance with Texas law.
Ambria received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Spanish at Southwest State University (now Texas State University), and her law school degree from Texas Southern’s Thurgood Marshall Law School. She’s pictured here overlooking the beautiful campus of her law school alma mater.
The youngest of two, she loves being a doting aunt to her brother’s daughters. Ambria also loves to travel, and is even thinking of starting a travel blog. Her favorite destinations so far are Brazil and Colombia, known for their beautiful beaches, colorful culture, great food and hospitable people. Next up: a postponed trip to Jamaica later this month and early November.
Enjoy your travels, Ambria, and thank you for being part of the BMG team!
