Shawn P. Black
Shawn P. Black has been admitted to the practice of law since 1992, and is currently licensed in Texas, New York and Kentucky. Mr. Black received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a co-managing partner with the law firm of Black, Mann & Graham, where he oversees their Flower Mound office, as well as the firm’s title operations.
Shawn has been a fee attorney for Stewart Title Company since 2004. Prior to that, he served as western New York counsel to Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company, and had also managed the residential real estate department for one of Buffalo’s largest law firms. Mr. Black’s areas of practice include real estate law, title insurance and regulatory compliance for residential mortgage lending.
He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers, Texas Mortgage Bankers, American Land Title and Texas Land Title Associations. Shawn serves on the Board of Directors for PediPlace, a non-profit corporation which provides free health care to children whose families cannot afford health insurance, and also volunteers his time to Habitat for Humanity of Denton County and Christian Community Action.
